Avoid before Acting Headshot Session

The amount of energy it takes the body to break down a juicy steak, as delicious as it is, is the equivalent of running a marathon, OK, maybe I am exaggerating, but its allot. Meat weighs you down, I always tell my LA actors to stay away from red meat for a day or two before a shoot. Not only is it most often spruced up a little with fabulous herbs and spices, but usually allot of salt. Salt makes you puffy, and is also a good idea to stay away from before you shoot, or perform.

Can an Actor Learn from a Fisherman?

Most actors tend to think of their headshot as the tool they take with them to an audition… but they forget that there’s actually more to it than that!

Your headshot is used for:

  • postcards
  • business cards
  • press inquiries
  • theater announcements
  • lobby boards

And on and on…

So what can a fisherman teach an actor about what to do with his or her headshot?

Quite a lot, as it turns out!

Affordable Acting Headshots: What is a fair price

penny-blog.gif

Obviously an Actor’s Headshot is one of the most important tools for an actors career. But how much should an aspiring actor pay for Commercial and Theatrical Headshots?

Notably, the fees for New York Headshots are usually more expensive then what you see with Los Anqeles and London Headshot photographers. NY photographers have to incur higher expenses such as studio rental, etc.

It is imperative that actors not only look at the price of acting headshots when making a decision on which headshot photographer to shoot with, but also the quality of the headshot photographer’s work.

If you want to see a large selection of NY and LA Headshot photpgraphers, take a look at the Headshot Gallery at TVI Actors Studio.
